Version: 1.0

---

**CONCEPT SUMMARY**
Chain Score fuses mental challenges with physical speed in a relay-style format. Each team member must solve a quick puzzle before physically tagging the next player to continue the score chain.

---

**REQUIRED EQUIPMENT**

- Puzzle tables or stations (crossword, number lock, pattern tiles, mini-games, etc.)
- Stopwatch/timer for each station
- Tag zone markers (cones, chalk, tape)
- Score tracking clipboard
- Penalty cards for puzzle errors

---

**FIELD LAYOUT**

- Relay course split into equal sections per player
- Each section ends with a puzzle station
- Tag zones between each section
- Final scoring table at the end of course

---

**PLAYER ROLES**

- 4 players per team
- 1 puzzle judge per station
- 1 timekeeper/scorer
- 1 course marshal (to track proper tags)

---

**GAME OBJECTIVE**

Each team must complete a sequence of puzzle-solving and physical tagging. Time and accuracy determine total score. Fastest team with fewest puzzle penalties wins.

---

**BASIC RULES**

1. Player 1 runs to Puzzle Station A.
2. Completes puzzle (judge confirms), then runs to tag Player 2.
3. Process repeats through all 4 players.
4. Time starts at first player’s go, ends when final puzzle is solved.
5. Incorrect puzzle = 15-second penalty.
6. Missed or invalid tag = 10-second penalty.

---

**VARIATIONS / SCALING IDEAS**

- **Mystery Chain**: Players don’t know their puzzle type until reaching the station
- **Wildcard Tag**: Players are randomly re-ordered during the relay
- **Double Puzzle**: Each player must solve two mini puzzles
- **Mirror Relay**: Each team mirrors the other’s course in reverse layout

---

**STAT TRACKING SUGGESTIONS**

- Total time
- Puzzle success rate
- Tag accuracy
- Fastest segment
- Puzzle type accuracy (by category)

---

**NOTES**
